I was on retreat with John a month or two ago and he encouraged me to share a poem I wrote with you for the community
During a group korero another person gave the line “presence is illusive” whilst reflecting on the transient nature of meditative states. It sparked in me that it’d be an awesome song or album name. A poem later emerged
Presence is illusive
As if your being here is conducive
to being – aware
Thoughts and actions
mind and body
Share,
time and space.
Fleeting moments
flutter away.
Physical mass stays
while the..
Psyche’s sass – plays.
It comes as no surprise,
did the same thing a couple moments ago
I think it’s conclusive:
Presence is illusive
